I just got three emails from Suzie Donoso using this address suziedonoso004@aol.com, I thought she sounded kind of weird in the second email but wrote her back once more to make sure. The thing that really weirded me out was that I kept telling her over and over that I did not have the apartment right now and would need to meet someone before they moved in and she kept completely ignoring everything I said and just insisting she move in right away, third email telling me that she needs to send the money order in and she’s so glad to have found a place when I’m still- wait a minute honey, I never said you could move in! Also last email got sent to my spam email folder where only email sent out in bulk goes, oh yeah- that’s not suspicious! I figure she probably does not even read the emails sent to her, she just sends out the same vague email to everyone who responds, not mentioning anything specific at all.

Hello everyone i was looking on craigslist for a home to rent for my family and i also came across with the same situation only there name was Lucy and Charles Black who had moved from NM to Texas because of a sick mothe, they took pictures of alot of homes and posted them for rent for cheap. And would only except cash. They said they were Church people and yet they called and buged me for the money at all hours of the night. Plus e-mailed me early mornings as well. I beleived them thank god i called the listing agent and he told me it was a scam. They list a bunch of homes that are for sell. It just sucks because i found another home and it was them again. They need to be caught already.
NEVER send any $ back even if you already got the check and always google their name ad their e-mails , you would be surprised how many scamers are out there

She got him to send photos of him and the house, then sent a picture of a hot, red head! I am sure he is drooling all over them right now, thinking how lucky he is to have found this renter. I have contacted her via email, we will see if she continues the communication. If she does I will show him this page!

This [person] just contacted me in Richmond, VA. Everyone said it sounded like a scam so I googled her email address. She even sent me a pic of herself. WTF? I needed a roommate and she really got my hopes up. She has the same story, but different variations.

aliwilsce@aol.com aka “Alice” emailed my roommates and I, claiming that she needed the room held for her because she was over in Ireland, grieving for her uncle who had just passed away. She told us that she had previously been a school teacher in Wisconsin, and was in Ireland for her uncles funeral, then would be moving out to California at the end of the month. We didn’t know she was a scammer and held our open room for her.
She claimed that she had made arrangements with movers to move all of her stuff from Ireland to here, and was mailing my roommate a check to cover the cost of the movers. However, when my roommate received the check and tried to cash it, we discovered it was a fake check! Even though we emailed her after this, we never heard from her again.

Joann – This “lady” doesn’t have a real name because “she” doesn’t really exist.
Scammers make up fake identities to carry out their scams. Many different scammers can use the same fake name, and a single scammer can use many fake names.
The important thing is not the name, but all the other Big Red Flags with their stories, i.e. offering to send a check for more than what’s owed, asking you to wire back the difference, any request for funds transfer by Western Union, etc.

I also want to ensure a clean house in my absence, meaning, I cannot rent to a party animal or anyone who does drugs or smokes. I am not interested in renting to anyone who is not clean; and last but not the least I am not renting to a thief who will clean out my house while I am away, you know what I am talking about? lol

I also just got an email from Linda Scott!!! She’s Finnish! I knew something sounded fishy about her response.
My brother just got scammed by this “Linda Scott” linda_Scott6558@yahoo.com. Finnish from Seattle, moving, uncle just died in finland, Humantarion nurse etc. Her letter and check came from Hawaii, she needed cash for moving. My brother sent by Western Union to sent to Ventura CA to a Carol Washington.

Am sure You ‘ll really like the person that i am ,because i will also do the dishing if you like,I work when i am to and relax when i am to,I also like sharing my thoughts also….paying rent on time will not be a problem as i will also be making the rent fee before the month ends….
Right now.I ve the support of my uncle about my well being,so you shouldn’t be bothered about if i am competent of paying the rent ..
I must confess am comfortable with the price and I will want to secure the place down before my arrival so i will want you to tell me all about the place,as i can’t see it before my arrival but the pictures…I also will want you to know that i have my car that i will be coming over with,and little of my furnitures,please let me know if there will be room for them..

She had me going for a while. I sent her photos of the place and everything. She insisted on sending me money which seemed fishy to me so I googled her email address serenasmithsmith@yahoo.com Thanks for the heads up! Here’s one of the emails she sent me:
